Overview
The Nashua River Rail Trail is actually 99% in Massachusetts. The trail starts on the border in Hollis and meanders across open fields, through Pepperell and Groton all the way to Ayer.
The trail is paved the entire length from Hollis to Ayer and includes pavement markings, bridges and nice and safe road crossings.
This is a MUST RIDE for any family. It's by far the nicest rail trail in the area.
How To Get ThereThe trailhead is located off of Route 111A in Hollis. Take Hollis Street ("A" frame house on the corner) .25 miles to parking for the trail on your right.
The RideThis is an out-and-back ride. Go as far as you'd like and turn around to return to the parking area.
